Having worked in Cancer Institute for more than half a decade, Dr.Arunandhichelvan realised the need for advanced and accessible cancer care in his hometown of Erode. His dreams bore fruit in the year 2018 when he founded the Onco foundation Hospital teaming up with like minded medical oncologist and radiation oncologist to provide comprehensive cancer care.
He has made advanced cancer surgeries which were once possible only in big cities, available to people in rural areas in Western Tamilnadu.

NOTEWORTHY CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS:
- One of the early members to start advanced Interventional Pulmonary procedures in Erode city.
- First in Erode to do Cryo Transbronchial lung biopsy.
- First in Erode to start EBUS – Endobronchial Ultrasound Procedures
- Authored Number of articles in peer-reviewer journals.
- Performed exemplary work during COVID pandemic by running a 55 bedded Covid Hospital in Erode and headed a 200 bedded hospital at Tirupur where severe to critical COVID illness patients were treated. Also ran a multidisciplinary Mucor mycosis department which treated mucor sinusitis to rhino orbital cerebral Mucor mycosis.

ARUN HOSPITAL was started in the year 1985 as a maternity hospital by Dr.K.Arulmolichelvan Senior Consultant Radiologist & Dr.A.Poongothai Senior Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It was upgraded to Multispeciality Hospital providing advanced Surgical services and Pulmonary, Critical Care services in the year 2022.
